Top pick: #3 (PATRIOTIC LION) - Colt by "Lion Heart" has been competitive in all three starts here this winter, but has not really threatened to win any. Speed/stalker gets blinkers on today and he has a bullet 3-furlong gate breeze on Feb. 26, presumably with the "hood" on. Looks all set.
2nd pick: #8 (Run For Miles) - He's been bet in all three starts and finished a pace-setting second at Del mar on August 3rd racing for this price. He "blew the turn" at fairplex in his Sept. 11 outing and trainer Pete Miller has had him on the sidelines since. Working fast for his return and gelding is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #5 (Dr. Evil) - Unraced since August 19th, grey gelding by "Bernardini" is working fast and trainer Mark Glatt will drop him into a claimer, shorten him up in distance, and race him on real dirt for the first time. In the mix.
