Top pick: #2 (TRICE UP) (5-1) - Price play has fine early speed and will be stretching out around two-turns for the first time. Hung very wide in his last pair, he was competitive and this afternoon he breaks just off the rail. Can take this at a square price.
2nd pick: #6 (Bro Derek) (4-1) - He's been a handful for his jockey in all four starts and has also had some traffic issues in several. Working fine for this, he drops to a new low, and if he settles down early, colt is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #4 (Bugsy Losty) (7-2) - Away slowly in his debut last June, he did well to finish 3rd of 10 to a "much the best" winners. Trainer Melody Conlon has him working well locally and switches him from "poly" to real dirt".
4th pick: #9 (Cane Seeker) (8-1) - He's improved since his debut and last out rallied to finish 4th on the Golden gate turf racing for a 420K tag. His lack of speed hurts as does his post. Needs to make a serious move forward for anything more than a small slice.
