Top pick: #6 (MILE HIGH MAGIC) - The probable favorite, he was heavily bet in his debut here at this level going 6 furlongs on Feb. 4. Off a bit "slow" that day, he rallied into a very fast pace to finish second, beaten a 1/2 length, defearing a pair of today's rivals in the process. Mike Pegram home-bred has since come back with three strong works and is the horse to beat. One of two entered here by trainer Bob Baffert, and the pair races uncoupled.
2nd pick: #4 (Eaton Hall) - The second of the Baffert duo set a very fast pace in the same race as "Magic" and tired in the l1st 1/16th to finish fourth, beaten 1 1/2 lengths. His early speed should have him in this from start to finish.
3rd pick: #8 (Treacherous ) - He's been bet in his last pair and trainer Rick Mandella has freshened him up since Jan. 16 when he tired after contesting the pace in a one mile grass contest. Working nicely and he draws a "comfy" outside post at this trip.
