Racing at this level going six furlongs, he chased a quick pace while wide and held to finish second of 13, beaten 4.5 lengths. He had a tough outside post that day and has been working fast for this attempt. The additional furlong should land him in the winner's circle.
2nd pick: #7 (Rafter One) (6-1) - He has some early speed, switches from turf to dirt, and is making back-to-back starts for the first time. Bet in both appearances, he can factor at a square price.
3rd pick: #5 (Dog Gone Lenny) (8-1) - Grey colt has been idle since a wide & even effort when debuting in a sprint at this level August 28 at Del Mar. His work pattern is fine including a swift five furlong gate move March 24.
4th pick: #6 (Icy Street) (8-1) - He was purchased for $100,000 as a 2-year-old in training in April of 2016. Debuting son of 'Street Boss' has worked eight times since early February and the last five have been at six furlongs.
