2nd pick: #7 (Chicago Angel) (4-1) - Grey filly is shortening up in distance after a poor effort going a mile at Del Mar at this tag Sept. 5. She had finished second in three straight prior to that, and did so at this distance Aug 8 at Del Mar.
3rd pick: #5 (Miss Star Maker) (3-1) - Three-year-old rallied from close range to miss by a 1/2 length racing at this tag and trip Aug 30 at Del Mar. Lightly-raced and well bred, daughter of 'Pioneer of the Nile' is a threat with a repeat of that effort.
4th pick: #4 (Paralyzing Eyes) (20-1) - Long shot is not a win threat, but may pass enough during the stretch run to grab a small share at a big price.
