Top pick: #12 (BEST PRESENT EVER) - Not surprising that this daughter of the turf sire "Unusual Heat" improved dramatically when switched to the grass last out. Making her first start since July 17th, she tracked, made a strong bid, and finished second of 10, beaten just one length. She's come back with a fine work since, draws a good post at this "down the hill" trip, and is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #11 (Zanbo) - Price play rallied to finish fourth when debuting at this level at Hollywood Park Dec. 8 and trainer Mike Puype has freshened her up since. Puype is great second-time out (33%) and this home-bred is working nicely for her return.
3rd pick: #10 (Angel's Moon) - She's finished second in her last pair, including Feb. 12 at this "tricky" "down the hill" trip. Working well and Jeff Talamo is back on the re-ride.
4th pick: #7 (Gypsy Friday) - Nice effort last out saw her finish third and she was just uner 3 lengths back of "Present" on the wire. Grey daughter of "In Excess" will be a fractio of the price of that filly and can factor again this afternoon.
