Top pick: #10 (WILD DATE) - Races third back off almost a three month break and appears to be nearing her best. Last out at Hollywood she was sent hard early and finished evenly. Races on real dirt for the first time, has a nice post for this distance, and Bejarano (who had other options) stays put.
2nd pick: #3 (Ansede) - Price play chased while racing very wide last out at Hollywood after breaking from the 13 slot and stayed on to finish fourth of 13. Draws a much better post this afternoon and has a nice local work on the Dec. 29. Barn (Troy Taylor) won a race here yesterday with a maiden.
3rd pick: #1 (Silver Threat) - Impressive debut saw her get "bumped" at the break and rally strongly to miss by less than a length racing at Hollywood on Dec. 18. Has the rail, switches to real dirt, and trainer Pete Miller wins at an 18% rate second-time out.
4th pick: #6 (Scream Queen) - Improving and this one-run type was only a head behind "Threat" at the finish last out. She's worked since and is another who'll be racing on real dirt for the first time. Stretch factor.
