WIN

The “Cardiac Cardinals” seem to be a team below the level of most playoffs teams, but when the time comes to win they simply rise to the occasion. Last year, they parlayed that into a Championship. The Giants started the season with Tim Lincecum as their ace, but he has had a season to forget, and is the default starter here, as the Giants are down 2-1. He was not even trusted to be in the postseason rotation. The numbers aren't pretty at 10-15 with a king-sized 5.18 ERA. Adam wainwright missed the entire season last year with arm surgery, and took some time to build up arm strength. The Cardinals were 8-11 over his first 19 starts, but have been rewarded for their patience as they are 9-4 since. The Cards are now 21-10 at home in Wainwright's last 31 starts vs. a team with a winning record. Lincecum has been awful vs. a winning team with the Giants just 4-11 in his last 15 starts against them. Play on St. Louis.
