San Francisco is getting no respect from oddsmakers in this one with former ace Tim Lincecum on the mound. Lincecum has had trouble with control at times this season, but not against light hitting San Diego with eight walks in 18 innings and 21 Ks against them. He's 10-5 with a 2.28 ERA all time against them and the Padres are 2-5 in their last seven games against a right-handed starter.  The first place Giants are 8-2 in their last ten games as an underdog, as well as 5-0 in Lincecum's last five road starts. This San Diego offense is terrible at 25th in runs scored. The Giants are 43-12 in their last 55 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and face wild man Edinson Volquez (102 walks in 178+ innings), who has a 5.54 ERA in his career against San Francisco walking 15 in 26 innings. The Giants are 36-17 in their last 53 overall as well as 35-16 in their last 51 road games vs. a team with a losing record. And when these teams meet the Giants are 22-9 in the last 31 meetings, including 13-6 in Lincecum's last 19 starts against the punchless Padres. Play the Giants.
