Jeff Samardzija (12-11, 3.81 ERA) is on the mound and knows how to pitch in Wrigley Field, beginning his career with the Cubs. He pitched well down the stretch, allowing only three runs in 19 2/3 innings over his last three starts. Samardzija has a winning road record this season with batters hitting just .238 off him away from home. The Cubs go with Kyle Hendricks, and the Giants have seen plenty of him as he's allowed 13 hits, 8 runs, and 8 walks in 16 innings against them the last four years. Chicago stars Kris Bryant (6-for-34) and 1B Anthony Rizzo (6-for-32) struggled in the 2015 postseason and combined to go 1-for-6 in Game 1.
