San Francisco at Arizona

The Arizona Diamondbacks made it official last night as they beat the Giants 3-1 to clinch the NL West. That leaves them in a suspect position here in this one, as they surely must have celebrated after losing 97 games a year ago and rising to the top this year. We saw the effect that had on the Yankees vs. Tampa Bay. They dominated the Rays, but once they got the clincher they were beaten badly, allowing 18 runs, with six players that usually don't start in the lineup. I expect the same from Arizona here. The Giants are 9-3 vs. the NL West in their last 12 and have beaten five of the last six right-handers they have faced. The Giants have had the upper hand in this series at 35-17 over the last 52 meetings, including 10-4 in Arizona. The D-backs will be hung over, so the Giants get the call.
