San Diego at Texas

San Diego is a long way from home, and on a five-game skid. This is the Padres eighth straight road game and LF Justin Upton, who sat out Wednesday’s loss, is day-to-day with oblique soreness. Ian Kennedy (4-8, 4.84 ERA) goes for San Diego  and is having a rough campaign. The Padres are 16-35 in interleague games against a left-handed starter, as well as 7-26 on the road in interleague games vs. a lefty starter. Texas is #12 in baseball in runs scored and the Rangers are 6-2 in their last eight interleague home games.
