The Mariners are a bad team, but they have two wins in a row and are coming off a confidence-boosting 15 run outing last night. They get a San Diego club that is really struggling, having lost six of their last eight. This is a good matchup for them as the Pads are another team that has struggled to hit the ball this season. In inter-league play the last three seasons, San Diego is a horrible 8-26. This is a winnable game for a bad club and I think they take advantage of that.
