Jake Peavy has picked up right where he left off last season. Peavy is pitching to a 1.20 ERA, an has allowed one run or less in three of his four starts, and four hits or less in three of the four as well. The Padres are now an amazing 24-3 to the -1.5 runline in Peavy's last 27 starts where they have won with him on the mound. Brandon Backe has had location issues all season. Backe has only gotten past the 5th inning in one of four starts, and has walked 13 in 19 innings. We look for the Padres to put another one in the win column tonight.
