San Antonio at Portland

The Spurs are on a roll, having won seven of their last eight games. How can they get up for this one against the lowly Blazers who have dropped two of their last three and sit at .500? They won't. In December, NBA road favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points off 2 or more consecutive wins are just 12-40 (77%) ATS over the last 5 seasons. In addition hot road teams having won 15 or more of their last 20 games, and winning 75%+ of their games on the season are only 23-55 ATS (71%) over the last 5 seasons. These ring true as the public starts overreacting to a teams great performance. I like Portland (one star) to keep this one closer than 7 at home tonight.
