Huge line, yes. But we like Stanford to cover it. The Cardinal return all five starters from last season's team. They bring back 95.5% of their scoring and they have already racked up six wins in seven games. Their defense, allowing just 55 ppg at home this year, should absolutely stifle Sacramento State here. In the first ten games of the season, teams with all five starters returning, coming off two straight double-digit home wins, have gone 64-28 (70%) ATS over the past five seasons. Stanford is 11-2 ATS vs. losing teams the past three seasons while Sacramento State is just 11-25 ATS in their last 36 games vs. elite teams (those outscoring opponents by 4+ ppg). And, Sacramento State is 1-9 ATS under head coach Jerome Jenkins vs. good defensive teams (those allowing 64 or fewer points per game). Stanford big here.
