Race was her first in 7 weeks and she's come back with a bullet half-mile work Sept. 2. Makes back to back starts for the first time since last winter and that produced a win at Sam Houston Park in early Mar. Can take this at a nice price.
2nd pick: #3 (Skedee) - Veteran mare loves this surface (14-6-5-1) and comes into this off a second-place finish Aug. 19 when she finished a head of "Princess". Home-bred makes back to back starts for the first time since last fall when she was in the best form of her career. Six-year-old is a win candidate.
3rd pick: #7 (Tornado Betty) - Exits the same last race as the top two picks and she was a bit over a length back of "Skedee" and a length and a half in front of "Princess". Race was her first ever on the grass and was a positive experience. Her speed makes her dangerous.
