Pittsburgh at St. Louis

This is the second game of yet another doubleheader for St. Louis, which is in the midst of some 25 games in 20 days, but the Cardinals are holding their own while trying to climb above .500 and get into the postseason. The Cards will face Chad Kuhl, who is 1-2 with a 5.50 ERA and he was pounded for nine runs while giving up six walks in 2 and 1/3 innings in his last outing against Kansas City. Kuhl missed last season while recovering from Tommy John surgery and was suffering from a minor finger injury on Sunday. Pittsburgh has lost eight of its last nine games while scoring a total of only 19 runs. The Pirates have the worst record in the majors, are headed nowhere, and they are 18-41 their last 59 games as underdogs. Take the Cardinals.
