Pittsburgh at Miami

Jose Fernandez has allowed just three earned runs with 43 strikeouts in his last four outings, covering 27 innings, and Miami has won his last six starts. The right-hander is 4-1 at home this season and an astounding 21-1 with a 1.64 ERA at Marlins Park in his career. Gerrit Cole is 5-3 with a 2.53 ERA, but he comes off an appearance against Arizona in which he threw 106 pitches in five innings in an 8-3 Pirates win. Miami batters have had some success against Cole with a .293 batting average and .769 OPS against him. The Marlins are sixth in the Major Leagues with a .270 batting average versus right-handers this year. Pittsburgh won a blowout yesterday, 10-0, but facing Fernandez will be a different story.
