While Ricky Porcello certainly hasn't lived a charmed life on the mound this season, the Tigers' bats have been booming, and have been able to out-hit a lot of mistakes. The Tigers are on a 19-10 run, and have amazingly scored 6 runs or more in 17 of the 29 games. Jeanmar Gomez has had all kinds of problems trying to tame this Tigers lineup over his career, as he boasts a not-so brilliant 7.82 career ERA against them. The Pirates have other issues, as they have been brutal on the road in interleague play where they are an unimaginable 11-53 in their last 64 games. The Tigers are 52-18 in interleague home games over their last 70, are not in a threatening spot here. Go with Detroit.
