Result:
LOSS

Two teams with strong defenses and weak offenses meet. Pitt lost starting QB Tom Savage to the NFL, so they are rebuilding behind sophomore QB Chad Voytik. The backfield is a strength, so they will go to the ground more, which keeps the chains and the clock moving. The UNDER is 9-2 in the Panthers' last 11 games on fieldturf, plus 4-1 UNDER the total on the road against a team with a winning home record. They take on a Boston College offense that wasn't good last year and lost its top QB and running back. The Eagles have a new QB in Tyler Murphy and the offensive line has to replace both starting tackles. With the uncertainty at quarterback, Boston College is leaning on its strength in the trenches and on defense. Defensive coordinator Don Brown is one of the best in the ACC. That defense led the way in a win last week and the UNDER is 20-7 after the Eagles get a victory. In addition, BC is on a 37-18-1 run UNDER the total overall and 18-6 UNDER when following a spread cover. When these teams meet the UNDER is 5-2 and this one shapes up as a game with more field goals than TDs. Take the UNDER.
