Philadelphia at Washington

This is not the type of start either of these teams wanted to get off to, as the Flyers come to Washington with a 2-5 mark to start the season. The good news for Philadelphia is they are even-up in their last four at 2-2, and have allowed 2 goals or less in three of the four games. Washington has been even worse at 1-5-1 through seven games. They have been awful on the back-end of the ice, allowing 25 goals in the  games, or 3.6 per contest. That makes winning very improbable when you consider that the offense has not topped the 3-goal mark all season. The Flyers have done a good job dispatching teams with losing records at 10-3 in their last 13, while the Caps are 0-5 vs. an opponent that allowed 2 goals or less in their previous game. Take Philadelphia.
