Philadelphia at Cincinnati

Two teams that figure to finish near the bottom of the standings this season face each other on Opening Day as both are in rebuilding mode. Raisel Iglesias starts for Cincinnati, and journeyman Jeremy Hellickson goes for Philadelphia. Iglesias started 16 games last season and struck out 104 batters in 95.1 innings pitched while walking only 28. Hellickson was 9-12 with a 4.62 ERA in 2015 while pitching for Arizona and has had a problem allowing too many home runs, which will be magnified at Great American Ball Park, a hitter's paradise. The Phillies do have some talented young players, but the bullpen is a big question mark. The edge goes to Cincinnati in this matchup. Play the Reds.
