Philadelphia (1-0) put on another magnificent defensive display against the uptempo Denver Nuggets, allowing 74 points. The Sixers underwent a massive overhaul this offseason that saw them dump pricey veterans Andre Iguodala, Elton Brand and Lou Williams. They brought in Andrew Bynum, Dorell Wright and Jason Richardson. Throw in a healthy seven foot Spencer Hawes and this is a formidable frontcourt (Hawes had 16 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in the opener). The 76ers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four games playing on three or more days rest and 4-1 ATS in their last five when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game. They take on a Knicks squad that is also 1-0 after a win over the defending champs. There is a lot of age with this Knicks frontcourt with Tyson Chandler, Kurt Thomas, Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby. Camby didn't play in the opener and Chandler played just 25 minutes, something the talented Philly frontcourt will take advantage of. The underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings and the road team is 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings. This is a division game: Philly has more than enough incentive to win, the better frontcourt and the value is with the Sixers on the money-line. Play the 76ers on the money-line.
