Premium Pick

Top pick: #6 (SPRICKETT) (8-1) - He's been competitive in all four starts and will be stretching back out around two-turns after a close up third-place finish here going 7 furlongs on a muddy surface on May 28th. Speed/stalker gets a slight edge in a "wide open" finale.

2nd pick: #8 (Stormy Henry) (5-2) - Speedy gelding has finished second and third here in his last pair, both sprinting at this level. Trainer Mike Trombetta (20% on the stretch-out move) has jockey Julien Pimentel in again for the mount and this home-bred is a win candidate.

3rd pick: #1 (1 & 1a (Willies Grand Slam & Jack's the won)) (7-2) - We'll take either half, or preferably both parts of this entry as our third pick. Both are lightly raced, have early speed, and are clearly getting better.

4th pick: #5 (Buddy's Afleet) (9-2) - Colt hasn't raced since Jan. 17, but is working well at Belmont for trainer Bruce Levine who has a fine record here this year with NYRA shippers (31-8-3-8). $210K son of "Afleet Alex" must be left in the mix.
