Top pick: #6 (UNCLE GREG) (9-2) - Claimed in early Nov. off a 100-day layoff for $7,500 by trainer Lou Linder, he's made middle-moves while finishing evenly in a pair of two-turn contests facing tougher since then. Barn shortens him up in distance and drops him back into a claimer. He has back class and can take this at a square price.

2nd pick: #1 (Saturday Dance) (7-2) - Hawthorne invader hasn't raced since winning there Dec. 22 when racing for a $5,000 tag to clear the 3l condition. Effort was a career best, and he shows here 2 1/2 months later racing for a new trainer (Patty Farro 19% with new arrivals). A sharp half-mile breeze her Feb. 19 indicates he's ready.

3rd pick: #4 (Howelling Wind) (6-1) - The main speed, he chased and held to finish second here on Jan. 27 racing at this tag going 5.5 furlongs. Claimed that day by Dee Curry, gelding tired on Feb. 18 facing tougher in his first for the new barn. 4-year-old should be involved every step.

4th pick: #7 (Designator) (4-1) - He raced evenly last out facing weaker and was reclaimed that day by Harold Wyner for $7,500. He won two races with him last fall and speed/stalker draws a nice outside post while facing tougher.
