LOSS

Oklahoma City has beaten Minnesota seven times in a row (5-2 ATS) and 21 of the last 24 meetings. Also, the Timberwolves are 5-16 at home this season and riding a six-game losing streak without covering the spread in any of them. The T-Wolves lost to Dallas on Sunday as they shot only 41.8 percent from the field and made 4-of-16 three-point attempts. Andrew Wiggins scored 21 points and Shabazz Muhammad added 16 points but, as usual, the rest of the team wasn't much help. This followed a 26-point loss against Cleveland when the Cavaliers shot 53.1 percent from the floor. Oklahoma City is coming off a 115-110 loss at Portland on Sunday for only its second loss in eight games. Kevin Durant scored 28 points and Russell Westbrook finished with 25 points, 15 assists and nine rebounds. However, the Thunder was outscored 35-25 in the fourth quarter.  The Thunder has covered the number in five of the last seven meetings and the Timberwolves are 0-5 ATS on one day of rest. Minnesota is 3-13-1 ATS after an ATS loss and 14-36 ATS at home dating to last season. Look for Oklahoma City to bounce-back with the win and cover. Take the Thunder for my NBA January Game of the Month.
