Jharel Cotton is 5-8 with a 5.49 ERA, and he allowed five runs on five hits in only 3 2/3 innings against Minnesota on Sunday. The Athletics have also lost six of his last nine starts. Cotton has appeared twice against the Angels this year and has been knocked around to the tune of 12 runs on 16 hits in 9 1/3 innings. Troy Scribner will lmake his first start for the Angels.
