Oakland at Chicago

The Oakland A's have met with adversity for the first time in three seasons. They won the AL West in each of their last two seasons, and looked to be on their way to a third before and two things happened. The first was that the Los Angeles Angels finally started playing to the level of their talent, and the second was that the A's themselves went stone cold. The A's have gone just 9-19 over their last 28 games, and although they broke loose for 11 runs last night, the offense has been lacking. The 19 losses have seen the A's score 3 runs or fewer in 15 of them. They will face a young and fragile Chicago White Sox team that seems to hang onto what happened in their previous game too long, as often is the case with young teams. The result is that the White Sox are now 14-5 to the UNDER when following a game where they were held to 2 or fewer runs. It looks like the offense's on both sides have the short straw in this one, so play the UNDER.
