North Texas at SMU

After three wins over a pair of seasons, SMU got themselves five wins last year, and hope to build on that and ideally to make a Bowl game. They feasted on a cupcake in their opener, but will certainly be more challenged in this one by North Texas. The Mean Green appear to be an easy win, and FMU has to be careful they don't have one eye on their next opponent which is TCU. North Texas followed a similar path as SMU in winning just a single game in 2015, and coming back with five last year, and will hope to be chasing a Bowl bid themselves. Neither of these teams have displayed the ability to score consistently, and averaged 51 points per game between them a year ago, and I feel this one will be hard pressed to get into the mid-60s where it needs to be to get OVER the total.
