The Bengals are truly a mediocre team. Despite their good start, many thought that the Bengals weren't going to be a deep playoffs team last season. They quickly showed that to be true, exiting in their first game to Houston 31-10. Cincinnati was 6-2 at this point last season, but finished the year 3-5. Their 3-5 start this season makes them 6-10 over their last 16 NFL regular season games. They also come into this one leaking oil having lost three straight games and they haven't come within 7 points in any of them. Cincinnati has had all kinds of problems vs. winning teams where they are 0-7 straight-up and 0-6-1 ATS in their last seven. QB Andy Dalton threw 13 INTs all of last season, but has almost matched that already at the halfway point with 11 through eight games. The Giants lost a tough one to Pittsburgh last week, but have still won four of their last five. New York was exposed on the ground last week, yielding 160 yards to the Steelers. But, fortunately for them Benjarvus Green-Ellis is averaging less than 3.5 yards per carry and hasn't gone for over 100 all season. The Giants have the capability of putting a lot of heat on Dalton. He has proven that when under pressure he makes costly mistakes, which I think will turn out to be the difference here. There's talk about "What's wrong with Eli Manning." Ignore that. The Giants are a menacing 38-15-1 ATS in their last 54 on the road. Meanwhile, the Bengals are 5-14 ATS the past three seasons after a loss and 30-45 ATS under Marvin Lewis at home. Play on the Giants.
