WIN

The Lakers have owned the Knicks. Los Angeles hasn't lost a game to New York since February 13, 2007. Kobe Bryant has had the Knicks' number during this winning streak, averaging 34.1 points per game in the last eight meetings. LA was forced to play back-to-back-to-back to start the season but they have had a day of rest and should be rested enough for this game. At 1-2, I expect the Lakers to be focused and playing their A game in this one as 1-3 simply won't go over well in Los Angeles and the players and coaches know that. New York has not performed well after losing big. Since last season, this team is just 2-10 straight-up following a double-digit loss. Meanwhile, LA knows how to ride defensive momentum. The Lakers are 26-4 straight-up at home in their last 30 following a game in which they held an opponent to 35% or worse shooting. They are also 53-10 straight-up in their last 63 after a game in which 175 or fewer total points were scored. Mike D'Antoni has a long track record of falling short in expected lower scoring games. He's just 6-22 straight up with the Knicks in games with a total in the 190s. While it may be close, I like LA to will themselves to a win here. Take them no the moneyline.
