Boston nearly blew a 5-0 lead before hanging on to beat the Yankees in Game 1, but the Red Sox got a huge win and will try to go up 2-0 in the series with David Price on the mound. Price has had his troubles with the Yankees this year, however, his counterpart Masahiro Tanaka has had even more problems with the Red Sox. Tanaka has faced Boston four times this season and allowed 16 runs on 29 hits in 19 innings for a 7.58 ERA. New York has lost four of Tanaka's last five starts versus AL East teams and four of his last five against teams with winning records. Meanwhile, the Red Sox are 45-17 their last 62 home games and 12-5 their last 17 Divisional Playoff home games. Boston has won seven of Price's last eight home starts against winning teams and the Red Sox are 21-6 in Price's last 27 home starts overall.
