The New York Knicks looked to be on the rise a couple of years ago with a good showing vs. Miami in the playoffs, but they fell back sharply last year, and appear to be a couple of offensive options shy of finding their way back. They have bought into playing tough on the defensive end, shortening games in the half court, knowing that if they can hang around they have a strong finisher at the end in Carmelo Anthony. That makes them a dangerous threat as a sizable dog, especially against a struggling team like 1-3 Atlanta.
