The New York Mets are changing their name to the "New York Mess," riding a 4-11 run with a lot of problems. Ace Noah Syndergaard was placed on the disabled list with a partially torn right lat muscle while the offense is dealing with multiple ailments. Mets starter Matt Harvey (4.25 ERA) was pressed into service early and tied a career mark for most walks (five) and fewest strikeouts (one) while allowing six runs over 4+ innings in losing to the Braves his last start, 7-5. He said afterward he was not physically ready to make the start. The Mets are 4-9 against a right-handed starter and face Atlanta veteran R.A. Dickey (2-2, 3.80 ERA), who has a 3.46 ERA at home. On offense the Mets have dropped to #29 in team batting average and #27 in on-base percentage. And the Mets are 3-10 when Harvey faces the NL East. Play Atlanta.
