The Lobos are out strong at 7-2 to start the season, despite not scoring more than 76 points in any of their eight Div-1 games. They have done it with a smothering defense that hasn't allowed any of their last opponents to top the 60-point mark for the season. Their last game was their very best effort, holding USC to 44 points. The Cowboys come in at 6-3 on the season have done so by holding six of the nine teams on their schedule to under 60 points. This being a neutral-site game should enhance the efforts of a pair of solid defenses with new shooting backgrounds for both schools.
