The New York Rangers have the playoffs formula working well, and they are off a 3-0 shutout win over New Jersey in the series opener. The Rangers have it going on defense and between the pipes, allowing just 21 total goals in their last 13 playoffs games, or 1.6 per contest. When you have an offense scoring 2 or more in 9 of their last 10, it associates and positions them for a lot of wins. New Jersey needed a third-period comeback, and was stopped dead in their tracks, mounting an attack that was limited to just four shots on goal. The Devils have managed just one win in New York in their last five tries. On the other side, the Rangers are now 17-6 in their last 23 at home vs. a team with a winning road record, and get it done tonight in Game 2. Play on the Rangers.
