New Jersey at Detroit

Detroit suddenly has gotten hot winning five of its last six games, but about all it has accomplished is keeping themselves out of the cellar in the Atlantic Division. New Jersey has won two in a row itself as it attempts to climb out of last place in the Metropolitan Division. Cory Schneider made 45 saves in the Devils' 3-1 win over Buffalo on Monday and they went UNDER for the fifth time in six games. New Jersey is 13-5 its last 18 games with at least three days rest and the Devils have won four of their last five games against teams with losing records. The Red Wings have lost 10 of their last 14 versus the Metropolitan Division and 19 of their last 27 against Eastern Conference teams. Also, Detroit is just 2-6 its last eight home games.
