Montreal at Carolina

Carolina took a big step forward a season ago as they finished the regular season with 116 points and a strong playoff run. That is all from a team that had not been in the playoffs for 10 years. This team is knocking on the door for a Stanley Cup contending 2019-20 season. Montreal will bring some promising youth this season as a pair of 20-year-olds have made the roster, and are hopefully ready to contribute. The Canadiens have steadily improved the past couple of years, but have still not been in the playoffs. It may be bumpy early in the season with young talent and on the road vs. a quality opponent on a mission. Take Carolina.
