LOSS

The Milwaukee Bucks played great defense last season for first-year coach Jason Kidd. The players recognize that's the problem after two games and are focused on a strong defensive effort for this one. The frontcourt added physical power forward Greg Monroe in the offseason, so they are capable of banging the boards and rebounding better. In addition, Giannis Antetokounmpo returned from a one-game suspension and poured in 27 points while Monroe went for 22 in Friday's contest.  Monroe averaged 20 points and 11 rebounds in three games against the Raptors as a member of the Detroit Pistons last season. The Bucks are 13-6-2 ATS against the Atlantic Division and 34-15-2 ATS when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game. Toronto is getting too much respect from oddsmakers after opening against a pair of marginal teams. The Raptors are 10-23-1 ATS playing on one day of rest, plus 1-4 ATS at home. The last time these teams met it was a physical defensive game won by Milwaukee, 82-75, on this floor. The Bucks are 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings, including 7-2-1 ATS at Toronto, and the dog is 3-1-1 ATS. Play Milwaukee.
