The Milwaukee Brewers have taken the first two in their series vs. the Cubs, but overall this has been a very poor road team, as on the season they are now 23-39. The Brewers own just one series sweep on the road all season. The league has also caught up to Mike Fiers who was outstanding early but has allowed 15 earned runs in his last three starts, covering just 13.2 innings of work. That translates to a very hittable ERA of 9.88. Things have gone in the other direction for Cubs’ starter Jeff Samardzija. He has pitched to an ERA of 2.80 over his last 10 starts, and the Cubs finally have the pitching edge in this one, but remain a dog. Play on the Cubs in this one.
