The Outback Bowl will feature a pair of 10-3 teams in Michigan State squaring off against Georgia. Georgia saw a 10-game winning streak come to an end when they lost in blowout fashion to the LSU Tigers 42-10. While the defense has been pretty good all season the Bulldogs’ offense has scored 27 or less in seven games this season. Contrary to the Bulldogs’ struggles on offense has been the emergence of the Spartan offense. Their first three games vs. BCS competition this season saw Sparty score just 51 points or 17 points per game. But over their last seven they have topped the 30-point mark in six of them, averaging over 33 ppg and should be the difference here, as the defenses are close to the same level. Under the radar, the seniors on this Michigan State team have more wins than any other team in Michigan St. history, and they are 24-8 in their last 10 Big-10 games - best in the league. The Bulldogs’ struggling offense a sign of trouble, as they are 2-8 ATS after scoring 20 or less in their previous game, and Michigan St. has posted a 6-1 ATS mark in their last seven vs. a winning team.
