Michigan State at Purdue

Purdue is showing some life this season (3-3) after that miserable 1-11 campaign last year. They've won two of three and had 551 yards while the defense forced two turnovers last week. Purdue gashed Illinois for 349 yards rushing and first-time starting quarterback Austin Appleby threw for a touchdown and ran for two more to lead Purdue to a 38-27 upset at Illinois. Appleby was 15 of 20 for 202 yards and ran for another 76 yards on seven carries. RB Akeem Hunt carried the ball 30 times for 177 yards and a touchdown on an offense that is productive, averaging 26.2 points and 171 yards rushing. The undervalued Boilermakers are on a 5-2-1 ATS run. They face a Michigan State squad that has played only one road game, getting smoked late in a loss at Oregon.
