WIN

The whole country is on the Notre Dame bandwagon and perhaps they should be as Charlie Weis has turned that program around in a heartbeat. But this is a classic letdown trap for the Domers. We have to question how good Pitt is after losing to Ohio, and Michigan has not looked good in two games this season. Notre Dame, ranked 10th in the nation, is starting to believe their own hype and this line is inflated. MSU will bring a high powered offense to South Bend, and the Spartans O should really test the Irish defense. The Spartans score points in bunches, and that alone, should keep this game close, as we still have some questions about the Irish offense. State owns Notre Dame having gone 7-2 ATS in their last nine. And get this: Road underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points off a game in which they outgained their opponent by 125+ yards in a game featuring two teams with 5 or less defensive starters returning are 23-4 (85%) over the last 10 seasons. State keeps this close and may win if Notre Dame succumbs to the letdown. Two stars on the Spartans.
