Miami at Los Angeles

The Heat started very poorly for a team that was supposed to win 70 games. After 17 games they were just 9-8 SU and 5-12 ATS. My how things have changed. They are starting to gel and have won 13 of their last 14 games. They are 10-5 on the road this season, allowing just 90.5 points per game. It's their newfound committment to defense that has led to the turnaround. This will certainly be a tall task to go into LA and try to win. But, the Lakers have certainly had their problems this season. The Lakers started 8-0 and 13-2, but since then they have gone just 8-6. They have lost 10 of their last 15 games against the spread. The Heat have the better defense and a chip remains on their shoulder after their weak start and those things will give them a chance. Los Angeles is just 9-19-1 ATS in their last 19 games as a small favorite of up to 4.5 points. The Heat have covered seven of their last eight on the road and I like them to get another one here.
