It seems funny to see Maryland in the Big-10 as they seem displaced. It also seems like the week-in and week-out physicality of this league, where there are few easy games, has begun to take its toll on the Terps. Maryland opened with solid defensive efforts, and a schedule that included Indiana, West Virginia, and Syracuse, allowing just 19.8 points per game. The wear and tear has seen them allow 135 points in their last three or 45 ppg - an increase of over 25 ppg. That might be just enough for a not-so good Penn State offense to find some room as they got 24 last week vs. Ohio State. The Nittany Lions are tough on defense as they have allowed a stingy 115 points over seven games, not counting overtime, or just 16.4 ppg. The Terps' wear and tear is well noted as they are 0-5 ATS when following a game where they allowed more than 450 total yards, and the Nittany Lions are great at redeeming a loss at 9-2 ATS in their last 11 when following a setback. Play on Penn State.
