Manhattan is playing its first game and is picked to finish in the upper third of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference even though the Jaspers lost three starters. The Gaels have a young roster with no seniors and two juniors, but recruited some solid transfers, including Joe Rahon from Boston College. Rahon played 29 minutes in Friday's game and contributed eight points and eight assists. The Gaels shot 49.2 percent from the field.
