A 22-5 team getting points? I'll take it! On November 12, the Lakers showed that New Orleans is still looking up at them as they beat the Hornets 93-86. The Lakers never trailed in that game. Yes, this game is in New Orleans, but LA is still the better team. They are scoring 105 per game on the road to New Orleans' 97 per game at home average. The Hornets have the better defense to be sure, but Kobe and The Lake Show can and will score. Since last season, the Lakers are 23-12 ATS against teams at .600 or better. Over the past three seasons, they are 41-26 ATS as a dog. Meanwhile, under Byron Scott, the Hornets are just 6-17 ATS at home against teams at .700 or better. The Lakers have not been covering the spread (10 straight ATS losses), but that's because they have been chalk in all of those games and double-digit chalk in eight of them. This time they are getting points and the result will be different.
