Los Angeles at San Diego

The Los Angeles Dodgers opened the season in puzzling fashion. But once they got things going, they have not relented and appear to be the odds-on favorite to represent the NL in the World Series. It is hard to believe a team that was in last place on July 1st in the NL West has now clinched it. The odds reflect that here, but this team has too much positive energy going to let it wane in wait of the playoffs. The Dodgers are an amazing 58-23 over their last 81 games, chewing up losing teams to the tune of a 42-16 mark in their last 58. San Diego has not presented a challenge for them, as LA has taken the last five meetings in this series. Maybe some players get rested, but this team has the winning attitude right now, so take the Dodgers.
