Los Angeles at Houston

The Houston Astros have dramatically improved over the last three seasons which saw them lose 106 or more games in each of them. They still have a long journey to get back to playoff contention, but they seem to get better with each passing game. They are facing an LA team that just swept four games from Oakland, and the Angels appeared to be disinterested last night in a no-contest 8-3 loss. Houston has been streaky this season, and seems to ride momentum with their young cast of players, and are 9-6 in their last 15 games, and have won three straight. The Angels' struggles on the road continue to a posted total of 7 to 8.5 where they are an ugly 7-15 in their last 22. The Stros have stepped up at home vs. a team with a winning road record at 5-2 in their last seven, and will catch the Angels napping again. Go with the home dog Houston.
